As the name of the thread suggest, I would like to open up a thread that may save people who book on a local level from getting ripped off by local dead-beats in Costa Rica(in the same manner that this site has saved many people from getting scammed by no-pay books). Do any of you mods have a problem with me naming a few and hopefully a couple others adding some names as well?

IMO this will not only save local agents/bookies from getting cheated, but also longtime players with a history of paying on time getting slowpaid due to lack of funds. OK this is partly the agents fault, but in theory an agent isnt supposed to be paying out of his own pocket and sometimes may lack the funds to do so.

It is a good idea - unfortunatley (at least in this case) The Rx. has always maintained a policy that no real names (public figures excepted) are allowed to be posted. So the answer has to me no real names posted even if they are of alleged scammers. Very Sorry.

He has owed me since last football season but only recently told me in an email that he will never pay me. The problem is that he asked me to get him hooked up, and I owe the book still to this day. I am pissed that my name is tarnished because of his irresponsible behavior. His debt is $1500 and from what I have heard from ex-friends of this dirtbag is that I got off cheap. He is a well known for being a deadbeat and in turn should not be trusted for anything.

All I ever asked is for an effort, to make small payments, I even suggested 50 dollars a month which he refused. I just cannot understand people that have no pride and continue to screw people over and tarnish their names. I mean this is a small country, what is he thinking?

Thats the thing Dante, you really cant do much. An assbeating is entitled, and noone would hold it against me. He is a fat out of shape fuck, a beat down would be easy enough to accomplish, but still, not my style. I would prefer just to make sure that it doesnt happen to others, so I am spreading the word to all who will listen. Anyone who is friends with this guy beware, others have made the mistake of trusting him and have paid the price.
